Meet Andrew: passionate about driving change.
Andrew’s journey began with 25 years in the military, where he honed a disciplined, results-driven approach to leadership and problem-solving. During this time, he recognised the power of education and capacity building as tools for positive change, which inspired him to establish an education scholarship for students in rural Fiji. Witnessing the transformative impact of this initiative motivated him to deepen his involvement in community development.
This drive led Andrew to pursue a Master of International Development at RMIT, where he focused on participatory development—ensuring communities have a voice in shaping their futures. Through this experience, he discovered the critical role of evaluation in bridging the gap between program design and real-world outcomes. Andrew’s commitment to empowering communities and improving program alignment became the foundation of his work, combining his passion for strategic impact with practical solutions to improve lives.

Global experience, real-world impact.
With a career spanning diverse sectors, Andrew has worked across domains such as Early Childhood, Family Violence, Asylum Seekers, Food Aid, Financial Literacy, and Homelessness support. His expertise grew during a year-long assignment in Fiji at the Tutu Rural Training Centre, where he led Strategic Planning, Policy Development, and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning initiatives. This immersive experience broadened his understanding of culturally appropriate and community-focused strategies.
Andrew’s professional journey includes developing strategic plans for NGOs, conducting impactful evaluations, and facilitating capacity-building workshops to empower teams. His focus on practical, strengths-based approaches ensures organisations can monitor their progress effectively and achieve sustainable outcomes. As a member of the Australian Evaluation Society, Andrew is committed to ethical, evidence-based practices that prioritise actionable insights. His work reflects a dedication to fostering long-term change that benefits organisations and the communities they serve.
